The purpose of this organization shall be to promote service at ذكذكتسئµ University community at large, to provide for professional development of our membership, and to offer a social outlet to all those interested in nursing as a profession.

Membership: All ذكذكتسئµ University students, who are officially registered, faculty and staff who are interested in the nursing profession are eligible for membership into the ذكذكتسئµ University Texas Nursing Student’s Association at ذكذكتسئµ University.

The chapter's mission is to recognize a local organization for men in nursing. It aims to create a supportive environment for male and female nursing students and professionals to discuss and influence factors affecting men in the profession. The organization encourages men to pursue nursing careers, thereby enhancing healthcare. It supports the professional growth of male nursing students and professionals, highlighting their contributions. Additionally, it advocates for research and education on men's health issues and the role of men in nursing, promoting knowledge dissemination at local and national levels.
The chapter actively engages in men’s health education initiatives and partners with local non-profit organizations for civic service initiatives.
Membership: Membership in the Chapter is open to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, SON nursing students in entry-level programs, Dishman SON alums, and anyone the Board of the Chapter deems worthy of membership.
Local Chapter Membership: Open to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, nursing students in entry-level programs, and anyone the Board of the Chapter deems worthy of membership within the state of Texas and/or has a state license.

Founded in 1922 by six nursing students, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) has more than 100,000 active members and 600 chapters at institutions of higher education and healthcare partners from Armenia, Australia, and Botswana to Thailand, the United States, and Wales. Sigma members include clinical nurses and administrators, academic nurse educators and researchers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and others working to fulfill the organization’s vision of connected, empowered nurse leaders transforming global healthcare.

Membership: Potential members who meet our eligibility criteria are invited to join Sigma, which includes baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship. Nurse leaders who exhibit exceptional achievements in nursing may also be invited to join.
