The College of Engineering at ذكذكتسئµ University is one of the oldest programs on campus. Since its inception in 1923, ذكذكتسئµ University has remained in the hotbed of the oil and gas industry. Promoting science and technology, the university began offering four-year degrees in engineering in 1951 and became the first program to offer a doctoral program in 1970.

The College has five academic departments: Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees are offered in each of the five departments. As the top school is the state, and 3rd in the nation for Return on Investment (according to Payscale.com), our college continues to produce high quality graduates for local and national industry. 

Students are encouraged to join student organizations, attend our semesterly career fair, and get involved on campus. Our students are able to receive high-quality education, hands-on learning, along with close ties to local industry which allow our students to participate in internships and co-ops

We offer strong and varied academic programs to a diverse student population that prepare our graduates for the challenges of lifelong learning. All five engineering programs in ذكذكتسئµ University College of Engineering are accredited by the .

Our research expenditures average $2.5 million a year. Many of our projects are associated with our five research centers. Research funding sources include the National Science Foundation, the National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine, the State of Texas, ports and marine terminals, and engineering and manufacturing companies in the Southeast Texas area.
