Scholarships

Most scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement. Other factors such as academic major, leadership ability and specialized skills (athletics, marching band, music, etc.) also may be considered in awarding scholarships.

For priority consideration for most scholarships, apply no later than February 1 each year. Some unique opportunities require earlier deadlines.

Health & Kinesiology

John Payton Scholarship
  • Full-time undergraduate students with a minimum of 40 earned credit hours
  • Must be pursuing a degree in: Exercise Science, Public Health Administration, or Physical Education "Curriculum and Instruction"
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 major GPA and a 2.8 overall GPA

Nutrition, Hospitality & Human Services

A.J. Leger Memorial Scholarship
  • Full-time undergraduate students pursuing a B.S.- Nutrition, Dietetics and Hospitality Administration
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA

Chartwells- Hospitality Scholarship
  • Full-time undergraduate students pursuing a B.S.- Hospitality Administration
  • Must have completed one semester in a Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services program applicable to Hospitality Administration majors
  • Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5

Chartwells- Dietetics Scholarship

  • Full-time undergraduate students pursuing a B.S.- Nutrition Dietetics
  • Must have completed one semester in a Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services program applicable to Nutrition Dietetics majors
  • Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5

Chef Charles Duit Scholarship

  • Open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students studying Hospitality Administration and/or Hospitality Administration- Culinary Arts
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.5

Dorothy Pierce Geers Memorial Scholarship

  • Open to part-time and full-time undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.5

Dr. Jane O. Hinchey Endowed Scholarship

  • Open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Must have a minimum SAT score of 1080 (for entering freshmen)

Dr. Jane S. Davidson Endowed Scholarship

  • Open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0

Rosa Jean Tannahill Robertson Scholarship

  • Open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services

Stuart Paul Hinchey Memorial

  • Open to part-time and full-time undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services

Virginia Anderson Presidential Scholarship

  • Open to full-time undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.5

William Currie Mills Scholarship

  • Open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Hospitality and Human Services
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
