Lauren grew up in Greenwood, Miss., where she attended a small private high school. She obtained her bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies in math, business and geographic information systems from Delta State University in 2006. After some life transition, she realized that she wanted to pursue a career in counseling. So in 2009, she obtained a master’s degree in counseling from Delta State. In 2012, she went on to pursue a doctorate of philosophy degree in counselor education and supervision from the University of Tennessee, and graduated in 2015. She has been with ذكذكتسئµ University since 2015 as a visiting assistant professor, taking on the role of field experience coordinator for the Clinical Mental Health program in 2017. She currently lives in Beaumont, Texas, with her husband and two dogs.
