Wilbourn serves as a reading and science coach at Sallie Curtis Elementary School. In a release issued in early November by the district, the elementary school had this to say Wilbourn:

"The role Ms. Wilbourn plays on our campus is vital and I didn't realize it until we had her! I can't fathom not having her now. She goes above and beyond to support all staff members wherever and however she possibly can. Our success last year as a campus had a GREAT deal to do with her coaching, mentorship, knowledge and expertise. Sallie Curtis is SO very blessed to have her in our family. -- Kamryn Uribe"
