LU Grad Selected to Texas Rising Stars 2019
For the fifth year, ذكذكتسئµ University graduate and trial lawyer Ronnie Turner Jr. has been named to the 2019 Texas Rising Stars list of top young attorneys.
Turner, who graduated from LU in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Political Science, represents plaintiffs in personal injury cases for Provost Umphrey Law Firm.
“I’m truly grateful to be recognized among so many talented lawyers,” said Turner. “Since selection involves nominations from our peers, it’s a great honor to be chosen.”
Turner, who is board certified in personal injury trial law, represents clients involved in products and premises liability claims, as well as industrial worksite and automobile accident litigation.
While attending LU, Turner served as student body president and vice president. He was vice chair of the Student Advisory Board to the Texas State University System Board of Regents. He was also a member of Order of Omega Honors Fraternity.
After graduating from LU, Turner earned a law degree from Baylor University School of Law.
In addition to being named to the Rising Stars list, Turner also has earned recognition in The Best Lawyers in America. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and serves on the board of directors of the Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association.
To be eligible for the Texas Rising Stars list, an attorney must be 40 or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Only 2.5 percent of eligible Texas lawyers are selected to the list each year based on nominations from other lawyers, independent research and a review by separate advisory boards.
