Macchiato
Macchiato is a digitally created art book, written and illustrated using Clip Studio and Adobe InDesign. Lattimore utilizes Clip Studio for the illustrations and Adobe InDesign to design the text and layout of the booklet. This thesis explores color theory and storytelling, experimenting with literary elements such as setting, point of view, and narrative structure. The illustrations center around Jasmine, the main character, and the key people in her life. Macchiato blends narrative illustration with themes of cafés and character design, using natural elements like foliage to enhance the visual experience. This approach aims to captivate the viewer’s attention while fostering a deeper connection between the audience and the creator, encouraging both engagement and growth.
