Anomalous Encounters immerses viewers in a world-building endeavor through mock scientific illustrations, field studies, journal entries, and a compact installation. This piece unfolds the narrative of the fictional scientist Edward James Falkner and his inaugural field expedition, unveiling both the marvels and terrors encountered along the ذكذكتسئµ. The thesis installation comprises a pinboard adorned with illustrations depicting alien creatures, environments, and flora, interspersed with corresponding journal entries. These elements are affixed with tacks and connected by various hues of yarn, evoking a chaotic and intricate web reminiscent of a modern conspiracy theorist’s collage. Accompanying the board is a small found object installation resembling Falkner’s workstation or rest area, complete with a table, chairs, and relevant paraphernalia. The aim of this thesis is to captivate viewers by immersing them in a compelling narrative that blurs the lines between reality and fiction.
