The meeting was called to order by Diann Brodnax, President, at 2:10pm. Roll was taken by Stephanie and a quorum was present.

The meeting began by introducing old/new Staff Council members.
Since staff are now all back on campus, membership requirements will be reinstated effective 9/1/2022 (absences, committee membership/meetings, etc).
During the counting of the ballots, there was discussion regarding the Staff Council committees.
Committee Reports:
Bylaws Committee: No report.
Communications Committee: No report.
Community Service Committee: There will be a Cardinal Pantry drive at the Fall Convocation. A stand-alone announcement will go out Wednesday. Volunteers are needed to help collect the items.
Nominations Committee: Jon-Michael gave the following report:
Staff Awards Committee: No report.
Staff Social Events Committee: No report.
Staff Relations Committee: No report.
Ad Hoc (Employee Initiative) Committee: Diann will look into this since Sharlene Hatch is no longer with LU.
Ad Hoc (Centennial) Committee: Diann will look into this issue.

Good of the Order: Diann recapped what Staff Council has accomplished over the past few years. KUDOS to Staff Council members!
The next Staff Council meeting will be September 13 at 2:00pm, on the 8th floor of the Gray Library.
Megan moved to adjourn the meeting and Alicia seconded.
There being no further business, Diann adjourned the meeting at 2:42pm.
